Coverage

What services can I get?

Eurocable is a Cable TV and Internet provider.
You can watch  TV channels from Spain,  England and Ireland, Denmark ,  Sweeden, Norway, Germany, France, and the Netherlands. 
Eurocable also provides internet 6Mbit, 15Mbit and 30Mbit. There is no limit on the download, that means you can use it as much as you want.
Eurocable can also provide a Static IP address if required.

How is the service delivered?

Both services are delivered through a cable. Eurocable has a large network in Fuengirola/Los Boliches and some areas in Benalmadena (Reserva del Higueron, Torremar, La Capellania, Carvajal). Many of the buildings are connected in these areas. We just bring a cable into your property and connect direct to your TV or internet equipment, so that you can enjoy the best TV programmes and/or internet service.

Can I get connected where I live?

Eurocable´s network reaches most of the buildings in Fuengirola and Los Boliches area. In Benalmadena we are in Reserva del Higueron, Torremar, La Capellania and some areas in Carvajal.
At the moment our network does not reach Los Pacos or Torreblanca.
You can write to us or give us a call now to find out if your building is connected or can be connected to our network.

What happens if there is not cable yet in the building I live in?

In that case we will need the president or the administrator of the building to sign a form authorising us to connect the building to our network, as long as the building is within our coverage area.

TV

Can I watch a different CH in different rooms at the same time?

Yes, you can watch different programmes in different rooms at the same time at no extra cost, the monthly fee does not change.
Please take into account that Eurocable will only guarantee good signal on all the TVs as long as they have been connected by our engineers. Please check here the price of extensions and Amplifiers (Amplifiers needed for 3 services or more).


Do I need any special equipment, if I want to get the Cable TV service?

You only need to have a Full HD TV.
If your TV is not Full HD, you don´t need to buy a new one! We can provide you with a Full HD TDT box to be connected to your TV. This will convert the signal into HD. You can check here the price of the Full HD box.

Internet
What speed do I need for my internet connection?

That always depends on what you use the internet for and how many people will be using the connection.
6Mbit Connection
What You Can Do: Basic email, web browsing, music streaming, standard definition video viewing, File sharing (small/medium files), IP Telephony ie. Skype,..
However, if more than one person is using the Internet connection, they can experience bothersome delays or buffering.
15Mbit Connection
What You Can Do: Online gaming, video on demand (on a single device), remote Education (distance education programming), video calls over Skype,..
It is a little bit more expensive, but you are going to notice the difference.
30Mbit Connection
What You Can Do: HD video surveillance, Video conferencing,..
For example, one person can play an online game in one room while other people watch movies or share files using the same broadband connection.
This is the preferred speed for people whose work depend on the internet, such as programmers, website designers, etc…

Is there a limit on the download?

No, there is not!
You can use the internet connection as much as you want.
It won´t get slower after you´ve reached a specific download amount, as it happens with some other internet providers.

Do I need any special equipment if I want to get the internet service?

You dont need to worry about that.
All you will need is your computer/laptop etc. Our technicians will install a Cable Modem and a  Wifi Router so that you can have a both LAN or wireless signal available. Everything is included within the installation price!
Please remember that our staff is not authorised to deal with the client´s equipment (PCs, laptops, tablets, phones, printers,etc…)

Do I need to have a landline to get the internet service?

No, you dont!
Our internet service works through our own network. It does not have anything to do with the phone line, it is completely independent.

Why should I contract more than one service?

Having all your telecommunications services from the same company is a lot easier for people that come and go from Spain or move apartments frequently. As you can disconnect and reconnect all services at once, you also get everything on the same invoice, plus its cheaper as you get special prices for having more services!!

How long does it take to get the services up and running?

If the address is within our coverage area and the building is connected to our Network, it usually takes one week. Nevertheless September and October are our busiest months so the waiting time can be up to 3 weeks.

Is there a Minimum Term contract?

No, there is not!
You can cancel the service anytime just with a phone call (we might ask you to send us an email or come by the office to cancel the service, for a proper confirmation and identification).
Nevertheless if you signed up using one of our offers of free installation it might be subject to a 6 month period.

If I need to leave the apartment for a few months, can I temporarily suspend the services?

Yes, you can!
Just give us a call or send us an email and we will suspend the services so that you don’t have to pay for them while you are away.

The Internet service can be changed into Standby mode when you are not using it. The costs for this service is only 5€/Month. Just give us a call to let us know the date when you want the Internet service to be put on Standby.

Support

What do I do if I have problems with the signal?
If you experience any problem with the signal give us a call, we will ask you a few question about the problem, so it is very important that you give us a call while you are at home so that we can run some tests.

Can I get technical support?
Sure you can! Just give us a call and we will arrange a visit of one of our technicians.
They will solve any issues that are related only with our equipment, they will not deal with the clients recorders, computers, printers, ipads, tablets, phones, etc…..
Please take into account that if you experience a problem with our service and the cause of it is inside your home or it has something to do with your own equipment you will have to pay for the call out. Please check here the call out fees.

What happen if I have a problem on the weekend?
Our telephone lines are open Monday to Friday, from 9.30hrs until 19 hrs, but if you experience any problem during the weekend or a bank holiday you can always call the emergency phone and leave a message. Nevertheless a technician will only assist you if there is a breakdown that leaves 10 or more clients without signal.

If I need assistance, do I have to pay for it?
If the problem is related to Eurocable´s network or the problem is outside the apartment  Eurocable is responsible for the reparation. But if the cause of the problem is inside your home or it has something to do with your own equipment you will have to pay for the technical call out fee. Please check here the call out fees.

Invoicing

How do I pay for the services?
There are different options available:
You can pay:
Credit Card (+3% surcharge)
Direct debit from your Spanish Bank on the 5th of every month (bank returns will cost: 7€)
Please remember that all services should be paid before the 10th of the month, otherwise the service could be disconnected before the 15th.

How do I get my invoice?
If you come to our office and pay cash your invoice will be issued when paying, otherwise you will receive it via email once the payment goes through.

What happens If I forget to pay the service?
The service will be disconnected and if you want to be reconnected you will have to pay the reconnection fee together with the outstanding fee that is owed. We try to contact our customers via Telephone or E-mail when their payments are due. But if you have changed your telephone number or we don’t have your e-mail address then we will disconnect the service until you contact us.
